Slumberland I didn't expect to like this. But my son wanted to compare it to Little Nemo- which I remember having on constantly when the kids were small. They loved that movie. So I could understand why my son wanted to see this one. Surprise. I loved it. The imagery is amazing. See it just for that. And whoever thought of a Canadian riding a Canada goose- bravo. One of my faves. The movie is sweet and a little scary- but has a wonderful cast. The acting is much more sincere than I would expect in this kind of film. Also, it's got brilliant male characters. My husband is often upset by the lack of positive male role models in films- this film has wonderful roles for men who are very nice men indeed. I think this might be too scary for very young children, but everyone else (say, 6-100) would probably like it. It's sweet and adventurous and beautiful- and it might make you cry in a good way.
