I hear from other staff about them getting phished by fake e-mails sent by our cyber security software, but that's not happened to me once. I guess I'm a hard target.

I was shocked to find our onboarding training had nothing about email security, and that's getting changed now.

I'm strategizing on a lot of software negotiations lately with our teams. Free months and back-end rebates like auto makers do for dealers are the latest developments. I would not believe any pro-forma earnings you see from a pre-IPO (or even post-IPO) software company.

Long dating is another trick that's being used to artificially maintain margins. Lots of this margin-eating stuff must get stashed in "selling and other administrative expenses" on the ledgers of these companies to artificially inflate their gross profits.
