Steve:

Regarding Next Nasdaq: it is my understanding that
it will impact SOES traders quite negatively.

Specifically, as proposed, mm's will only have to
honor 300 shares vs. the 1,000 they do now (for most
stocks.) This in effect triples the commission.

On the brighter side, they propose to eliminate the
5 minute rule, the 1,000 share rule (with 300 shares
this is of course mostly cosmetic) and the related
accounts problem.

Am I right about this? Let me know.

Enjoy your posts. Needless to say, anyone who day trades/
scalps primarily NASDAQ stocks and does not have an
Instinet machine in front of them (which they know
how to use!), should employ a firm like yours. Most
people think otherwise, because they don't understand that
Instinet is, for better or worse, the NASDAQ.
