Looks like the Coast Guard here is more than just funded. They're going to be expanding, thanks to some NDAA pork recently approved. juneauempire.com Like we need an icebreaker here?

Mostly, the Coasties are a force for good, but they'll stop you for nothing to do a check - rather like pirates. Where I like to go, they can't follow, so there's that. But then I get blocked by your province and the International Waters COVID police. That may be over now. I'll have to check again next summer.

Maybe the police should be defunded..
