Someone pointed out that SPR begins with the cemetery scene, but that could have easily been after the main action too, so for me, the movie starts on Omaha Beach.

Very different show - Upstart Crow - not often we like a laugh-track sitcom, but one about Shakespeare in 1592 with very sharp writing and lots of allusions to modern Britain is hard not to. I am just amazed we never heard of it before stumbling across it on APV.

Another watchable WW1 movie on APV is "Beneath Hill 60," the story of an Australian sapper unit that finishes a lengthy campaign to place explosives under an entire ridge held by the Germans. The resulting explosion in June 1917 was the largest manmade explosion to date then. True story. Very well done.
