I saw a video about a WWII incident in Italy. There was a rumor that the Germans were preparing to use gas. So the US sent a ship full of gas to the port of Bari in Italy to be prepared to retaliate. German planes blew it up and spewed gas all over the harbor. The shipment was top secret, so the army kept silent as people all over town sickened and died, mysteriously.
