Hi sm1th,

Had a long post disappear as I searched without opening a new window. GRRR

I sold 10 T June 16th $16.00 puts for 65 cents. If assigned a net purchase price of 15.35 and a dividend yield of 7.23%. I now have sold 30 of these puts at an average of 15.442 of div yield possible if assigned of 7.19%.

I'm OK with either.

Not an options play but I also doubled down on a previous puchase of TDS-V. Telephone and Data systems preferred shares - V. Issued with a par of $25.00 This preferred issue pays: 6.0% or an annual $1.50 dividend. I paid $14.46. A yield of 10.37%. This issue can be called no earlier than 9/30 of 2026. If change of control for the company they can be redeemed at par plus dividends due.

There also is a U issue of preferred that pays 6.625 % .

I had already bought more of the U. This balances out my holding.

TDS is my local telephone/internet system in Wisconsin. Lean run company with best internet speed and cable in my hometown. This last summer they installed fiber in my rural town of 3188 population. It is faster than anywhere else I live and it came out much less expensive than Spectrum the longtime incumbent cable company.

My dad was on the board of the local telephone company that sold out to TDS in the mid 1970's. They are a solid company that funds their Capex via preferred shares. Due to their very capital intensive business (like all their competitors they have a large debt) and a credit rating of Ba3 B Moody'/ S&P as of 4/14/22.

They are not going anywhere IMO.

The last summer they added cable, the crews utilized were all independently owned trucks. They worked weekends to get the project completed by the summer's end. They run lean and competitive, which I think allowed them to offer fiber internet at a lower than cable speed and cost. IT IS the fastest I've personally ever had and I took the lowest speed of three choices.

Hope that helps some looking for yield.

Bob
