Crimea isn't part of modern Russia and Guantanamo shouldn't be part of the US. The people of Crimea should be able to vote as should the Cubans. Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Iraq are not part of the US. However we do have some strategic interests in the world. Our strategy should be to support democracy. Russia is not a democracy. The Ukraine IS a democracy.
