It is very hard to compare. There just are not that many Russians swimming across the water to illegally enter Canada compared to those doing the same from Mexico and countries further South of Mexico.

I tried to argue with one of the big shots at HP responsible for setting up manufacturing in Malaysia and Singapore (where he was treated like a King - he was HK Chinese) that we should set up manufacturing in Mexico since that would help our country, give better jobs to those there so they'd not lower our standard of living and quality of education here... but the tax incentives and perks given by Asia plus a very well educated workforce, compared to maybe a 5th grade education in Mexico, was impossible to compete with.

I'm much rather see Ukraine foreign aid for arms be used to build schools, Nike & iPhone factories , etc. in Mexico... but the drug lords make that dangerous too.
