"CO2 is a greenhouse gas and considered in isolation, more CO2 will make the planet warmer". Is "settled science", to the extent it ever makes sense to use that term about things. Most of the specifics claimed based on that, not so much, even to a great extent about the present, but esp. about the future. Beyond any dispute of what the actual scientific evidence suggests, many of the predictions aren't supported even by the most widely accepted science. Some predictors take things that are plausible and then project them as certain. Others pretty much pull the predictions out of their ass.
