I gave up trying to use FB's business page for my newsletter that I barely keep running mostly for myself and long-time readers. FB used it as a constant source of spam to get me to pay them to advertise. I think a lot of the trouble is they don't want to make it easy to use their platform to sell your products without paying them a huge fee.

In fact, just today I got word that they are eliminating professional pages for real estate agents and said the agents would have to put their listings on their personal pages... so they don't want people looking for real estate in this or that town to have an easy way to find realtors and listings without FB getting a cut of the action.

I found it easily with a search and it looks like the sort of page FB wants to better monetize.

I was considering buying FB stock down here at this valuation but Zucks insistence on spending billions on something I have no interest in using AND the way they make the site itself far less useful each year.... has kept me away.

For example, I used to be able to have list for things/people, etc. that I wanted to follow. I'd have lists for local news, national news, windsufing, investing, banks, hot women (OK, I'm a MCP but women could do the same with hot men...) FB eliminated this and forces me to use their algo for what they show me. I'd like to tell Zuck he deserves a truckload of f-bombs for this....
