Musk gets a lot of hate. While he is committed to the success of Tesla, I believe his underlying motivation is not billionaire status, but a passionate cause of transitioning the planet to EVs vs. fossil fuels. That is an overwhelming consideration in my book.
Doesn't mean there aren't problems along the way but it seems to me everything he touches, he touches because he cares about it. In my life, I've done my best work, however piddling, when I was highly committed to success because I believed in what I was doing.

And every competitor will face intractable problems along the way that require tough decisions. And while Elon makes those decisions, most of the others are going to require committees, meetings, a lot of Power Points, engineering decisions, marketing concerns, dealership issues, insurance difficulties and much more along the way.
While I don't have a large investment like many do, I don't feel threatened by anything I've seen. |
