I see a mass class action suit resulting in an ultimate visit to the supreme court coming.

The issues are they willfully sell you a ticket and take money for the flight, but then have no impled liability when they do not fulfill their contract duties.

I would argue that the class suit would seek to knock down the "no liability" stance that they all have taken.

In Southwest case, they are refusing to honor stated US laws in terms of refunds vouchers, and compensation, much less allowing the passenger to reclaim their baggage to move on to another carrier.

I expect the class lawyers will start a huge due diligence soon.
