Can't say anything about this being a specially bad season, but I remember hearing of RSV some 5 or 6 years ago. My wife studies epidemiology and she was talking it about it when my son was born 5 1/2 years ago. At the time, it was one of the biggest risk factors for infants in the area where we lived.
