In the 10 years or so of living in South Florida, I see some of the consequences of the rapidly growing population. It requires more farming than the area can easily accommodate. Because of the increase in organic substances in the water, seaweed is growing like crazy.

From what I read, with the current population of the world, without heavy use of fertilizers and other intensive agriculture methods - it would not be possible to produce enough food. So, the question is, could we produce enough food to feed 8 billion people - many of whom are poor?

I read that it would not be possible. But I don’t have any real expertise in this matter.
