I read your post wrong. You were not predicting the end of humanity, you were just expressing your opinion that the Earth could rebound from any damage done by humans.

I have a different opinion.

I consider all animal life, plant life and insect life coexisting with our planet in a beneficial, balanced and harmonious way. I consider humans, in a way, as parasites on this living organism, the Earth.

As we continue to pollute and plunder the Earth's resources, our parasitic ways could eventually doom this planet just as other parasites usually doom their host. In other words, there might be a point of no return where many life forms will go extinct. Ignorance rules most of the Earth right now!

Will the Earth eventually survive and rebound? That is an unknown!
