The effect of the $50 million buyback is equivalent to $100 million worth of buying in the stock. The reason is because of the twofold multiplier effect caused from taking the short shares available out of the marketplace where the short interest had been maxed out to the extreme. Virtually every available share to be shorted had been shorted last fall by Mr. Master Of The Universe 4 Million Share Short In 60 Days Man. Now for EVERY share the company buys back that is a share that had been lent out and shorted that now gets called and can no longer be shorted. Thus a two for one effect and the $50 million buyback will have the effect of a $100 million buyback. Note that the reason for this is that the short interest had become so extremely over extended. One more example how markets swing to extremes like a pendulum. Now we're gonna see the pendulum swing back up!

Good Luck To Each And All

PS: Tide I saw the news retraction. I think Reuters had some hanky panky going with that news posting.
