In any state, the level of corruption of the government, media and police are the three biggest indicators of how deeply a country is in trouble. Western society is in deep, deep trouble. This article “ China May Be Too Right-Wing for American Leftists” highlights how low the West has sunk.
Amid trans activist attempts at grooming children, now comes word that police in Scotland are taking a soft stand on pedophilia, referencing pedophiles as “minor attracted people.” They are perverted criminals, from whom children need protection. Any police officials who view them as anything else are in the wrong job. A Scottish Conservative spokesman stated rightly: “Imagine if the police normalised rape or murder by rebranding them similarly.”
The hard Left has already been busy selling the idea that to oppose the grooming of kids is to be anti-gay and anti-trans. The organization Gays Against Groomers defines itself as “a coalition of gays against the sexualization, indoctrination and medicalization of children.” But such organizations are often ignored by the activist media, which instead further the agenda of hard-Left ideologues.
The once collective effort to act “in the best interest of the child” is rapidly dying in Western society. Those who support the term “minor attracted people” are casting a spotlight on their own mindset and/or their own activities. The reference by some police in Scotland is and should be alarming. Let’s hope there is followup.

“Police Scotland slammed for describing paedophiles as ‘minor-attracted people’ in major report as critics warn the phrase risks normalising child abuse,” by Lauren Haughey, MailOnline, December 31, 2022:
Police Scotland has been slammed for describing paedophiles as ‘minor-attracted people’ in a crucial report, raising concerns of softening language around child abuse.
The document, which assessed the force’s performance during the past year, outlined that Police Scotland has been working to support a European project in order to ‘counter the effects of child sexual exploitation’.
In reference to this project, the report read: ‘This project’s main agenda is to develop understanding and approach to avoid the victimisation of children by engaging Minor-Attracted People (MAPs) and provide them with the necessary support, treatment and guidance to help prevent criminal activities.’
A Scottish Conservative spokesman told MailOnline that many would find language used to neutralise sexual preference for children ‘deeply disturbing and wrong’.
They said: ‘Offences relating to paedophilia are among the most appalling and unforgiveable crimes anyone can commit, and it’s essential that Police Scotland guidance reflects this.
‘Most Scots will find any attempt to soften the language around paedophilia in official guidance to be deeply disturbing and wrong.’
Children’s campaign group UsForThem Scotland also said it was ‘horrified’ by the idea that paedophiles were ‘being rebranded as MAPs’.
A spokesman said: ‘We are seeing ongoing concerning issues relating to child protection both inside and outside school.
‘This is not an acceptable phrase. We should never normalise paedophilia.
