A couple of days ago my wife asked me why I haven't been my jovial, happy self lately so following the axiom of a burden shared is lighter I confessed that I expected a much higher share price by now and that we are on precarious financial ground. Not in imminent danger but there won't be any dinners out, concerts or theater nor road trips for a while.

I said that we could sell some shares to tide us over but she said "Don't you dare. Not unless we really have to". Another one of the myriad reasons why I've kept her around for 50 plus years. She's a gem and incredibly supportive and understanding. As am I. Right now I'm sitting in the car waiting for her at another cancer followup at the cancer center. We'd do anything for each other.

I have no doubts whatsoever that this investment will, eventually, make us very wealthy and enable us to do many of the things that we've been putting off for a long, long time.
