I love my dog to death. I would do just about anything to make her happy. But she gets to be to much at times. I don't mind that she follows me around everywhere. I understand that's what many dogs do. But she constantly wants to be petted all day long and I only have two hands and sometimes I need to use my hands to do other things like making stock trades. She is really a great, loving dog. But she is always by my side and sometimes climbs on top of me at the most inopportune times. She doesn't do this with my wife, just me. I take her everywhere with me except to the dentist and certain doctors. I spend more time with my dog than my wife. She doesn't suffer separation anxiety when I go to the Doctor. She likes to be a part of every segment of my life all the time. When I take her to grocery stores, many stop to pet her and she loves every minute of it. She exists to be petted, hugged and kissed. She is a love machine. She is always right next to me when I lay down on the bed or couch. I walk her 6 miles a day. She is really a great dog and I would never hurt her feelings. But I am feeling smothered at times.
