hey cal,

great call on ALTR. it is interesting how altera's earnings held up despite XLNX's disappointing pre-announcement.

I think they might have done the right thing on the aggressive price cuts.

one of altera's business model, I suppose, that was stated in the prospectus was to cut price and stimulate demand.

any idea what's their market share numbers ?
