The reason I find semiconductors attractive versus most any other area of the market is that these are real companies making a product that is necessary even in economic downturns.

There are a number of stocks in the space involved in the electric vehicle space that will benefit from the increasing number of EV's as time goes on. AEHR, COHR, ON, STM and WOLF come to mind. Some are making real and growing profits from this evolution even now when the market is supposedly slowing. As far as I know none these companies care about politics. I might like that COHR chart best out of the bunch too!
