For short term overbought, I just use the S&P 100 5-day H/L as the main signal. I look to the S&P 500 for confirmation, and then check the NDX for symmetry in the numbers.

When you have a ratio 60-6 or more extreme on the 5-day S&P 100 H/L, it's the threshold I have used for the past 15-years or so.

That equates to around 300-30 on the S&P 500.
