"TSLA is a misallocation of funds" . If you allocate here. You are taking from some other sector of the economy

Force feeding downsizing of oil was a mistake that will cost the world trillions of dollars.

Oil has its Natural Size. It is big but natural. If people try to cut down something that is naturally big, it causes adverse effects in the world economy.

It is not possible to transit into an economy sans fossil fuels. The economy cannot afford.

What is possible it is to let the market dictate the pace. Governments can provide incentives to lower fossil fuels use but cannot mandate it. Why? Because the economy cannot afford the costs.

What cold have been done:
First governments would incentivized the swap from coal to Natural Gas. It would still be a fossil fuel but an improvement over coal.

Electrification of transport, which already exists in the form of railways, would follow steel arch furnaces' model. Use electricity when it is cheaper. Electrify vehicles where electricity is cheaper and where it adds value.
First electrifying urban transport like buses, delivery trucks, (DHL, FedEx, mail, garbage trucks etc.) There is value for low noise and less fumes in an urban environment.

Gradually technical development would bring to market better batteries, and the market would gain insights and experience in distribution, recharging stations and the electrical grid would adapt overtime.

Then Greta happened.
