To me its about loss of confidence in the government
I would say loss of confidence in the banking / economic powers in the government.

I can't imagine anyone has much confidence in the government as a whole now ... but the Fed and bankers have some credibility with the masses at this point ...

When the common man lose faith ... then precious metals shine.

I'd say, for all the flim-flam around covid -- there are probably large number of people who believe the government navigated the impact good to well because of the constant propaganda -- even though the opposite is true. that is, there is plenty of room for larger numbers of folks to lose faith.
