If people are selling MPU stocks because of DRAM
pricing then they are completely missing the boat.
First of all DRAM has been one of the excessive
costs that have kept people from running large
programs like Win95 effectively. People have tried
to skimp on RAM as much as possible. If the DRAM
price drops are passed on to consumers, I believe PC prices will drop significantly spurring more
PC sales, thus more MPUs with 'Intel inside'. Why
doesn't wall street see this as a POSITIVE for INTC?

In addition, Compaq's (and others) price cuts will only
add to this phenomenon. Intel will have a great year.
Think about who actually makes money on PC sales. The
margins are so low for every component now except for
the processor. The high margin add on peripherals do OK
too, but that doesn't directly affect INTC.

Also, as Win95 and NT are 'approved' by corporate america
we should see more stimuli for growth.

In short these events lead me to believe that PC sales
will accelerate soon and INTC will profit more highly than
expected because they are so far ahead right now technologically.

Any flaws in this logic?
