Insider selling in general is less meaningful than insider buying. People can sell for many reasons. Example: In my favorite stock, Eidos (EIDSY), an officer sold almost all of his huge personal stake in the company. Two weeks later, the stock was up 20% on an announcement it would beat estimates. It turns out the officer sold because he was starting his own business and needed the capital -- not because the company was on the rocks. Ironically, the latest issue of II has a thorough discussion of insider buying and selling.
