Not really. They were started by a couple of Stanford grads, in the student load business. Small potatoes, then a little idea expanded into something major. Noto became CEO in 2018. Very well experienced and connected, about as good as it gets. They have since been hard at work, developing full fledged financial service platforms, which are now up and running. Afa I know.
