Housing is holding up a lot better than I expected it to but maybe it's just a slower decline. I thought I had been posting my charts on housing but maybe I wasn't because there wasn't anything spectacular lately.

Building Permits and Housing starts are still elevated compared to long term history...



New Home sales are still at midrange of historical levels...



Existing home sales are lower since it doesn't make sense to ditch your 3% existing mortgage and get a 6.5% mortgage but not really at crisis levels yet...



Now the mortgage market itself on the other hand is obviously down with the higher rate shock but we had rates this high in the past so eventually people will just get acclimated to the "new normal".
