| | | another nation invades your country unprovoked GS, our views about the Ukraine tragedy are so far apart that I wouldn’t even know where to start. How is it “unprovoked” if no other than Angela Merkel recently explained that the 2014-15 Minsk accords were signed by Ukraine, France and Germany for the purpose of preparing for a war against Russia. And that’s exactly what they’ve been doing all those years, until 2022. They put those years to excellent use, since in 2015 Ukraine didn’t have much of any military. By 2022, with abundant help from NATO, they build undoubtedly the largest, best trained and best equipped military in Europe, with the exception of Russia.
In late 2021 Ukraine renewed their shooting war against their own citizens in Donbass, announcing that they intend to “re-conquer’ them - and this is already after several thousand people lost their lives in the non-ending civil war.
And no, Zelensky isn’t a school girl being raped. He did run on promises of peace - and got turned around 180 degrees after getting elected. His country is paying a heavy price because he went along with NATO ignorant assessment of the outlook for the war.
You refuse to show even a slightest interest to the pre-history of this war.
The “unprovoked” claim is so weak that I seldom see it being made anymore.
I hate arguing with you. Suggest we talk about other subjects. Let’s avoid this one. What either one of us says in the scheme of things means nothing, anyway. |
