I must point out that in every incremental update/upgrade to the OS Apple has included more and more native PPC code. It's still not fully native, but is moving fairly quickly in that direction.

How many years since the introduction of the PowerPC architecture, pray tell?

Also keep in mind that the transition to a completely different chip architecture is not achieved simply by pressing a button. If it were, this would be a very different thread (and world!).

Excuses. Unix port to Intel was done by a bunch of volunteers and is called Linux. Linux has been ported succesfully to many other architectures. Porting MacOS was not trivial but could have been done in less than a year. (BTW the difficulties in porting the code show that internally the MacOS was a deeply flawed OS).
