A couple of years ago I was watching the NFL season come to an end and hoping it wouldn't be the Jets that had the worst record. It was clear that Trevor Lawrence would be the first pick. I had no faith the Jets could built a winning team around him based on their history. OTOH Jacksonville hadn't shown they could do much better either. Still TL was from Georgia and played at Clemson so it seemed to me Florida would more of a natural fit.

So Jacksonville got the first pick and both teams took a QB. Two years later Jacksonville looking to play in the second round of the playoffs and there is talk of the Jets getting rid of their QB and picking another in this draft. TL really dodged a bullet.

After a terrible mistake of hiring a bad for the NFL coach they fixed that by hiring the perfect coach for a young player. The team still has a lot of holes to fill in off season to be a legit contender for a Super Bowl. However I think he has a chance of doing something special there.

How perfect a fit for a guy in the South?
