I'm not attacking your feedback, I'm pointing out why it's perhaps incorrect. Don't be so sensitive. These boards are discussion boards, where investors discuss differing viewpoints. Feedback and response IS THE PURPOSE of these boards.
UAN clearly sells in the US and therefore is doing battle with the US EPA, who is regulating the absolute hell out of their products and their applications/appliers (farmers).
I don't know what you're talking about. What are the EPA regulations which restrict the sale of ammonia or Urannium Nitrate fertilizers in the US? Can you provide any link to a newspaper article which discusses the US EPA's regulation of the fertilizer industry? I honestly haven't got a clue what you're talking about. If there are existing refulations on ammonia and urainium nitrate, they aren't interfering with UAN's business in any meaningful way. Nothing like this topic has been discussed on conference calls, ever.
UAN is also at war with the blue flaggers who are marching to totally eliminate UAN's precious nat gas feedstock and all fossil fuels entirely.
Are you saying some meaningful movement exists to completely remove natural gas from the US? UAN isn't "at war" with any such movement. There is no such meaningful movement as far as I know. Again, what are you talking about?
"Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau ignored cries of anger and desperation from farmers and provincial officials last weekend by pressing ahead with a climate change agenda that will dramatically reduce Canada’s use of fertilizer — the same ruinous strategy that drove Dutch farmers into revolt and destroyed the agriculture of Sri Lanka.".
If other countries stop using fertilizer, it will drive the price of crops higher, and increase the price of fertilizer.
Are you saying you won't invest in the US because the US may ban fertilizer?
You are the only person who I've discussed UAN with that holds this view. So this is why I'm sort of unclear on what in the world you're saying.
I'm not going to go tit for tat with you anymore
So don't be a jerk about it
Look in the mirror. You are on a discussion board, and apparently unable to have a civil discussion.
I like to talk about my investments with others. I especially like to read their opinions when they differ from mine. You'd be great to discuss UAN with if you weren't getting so upset for no good reason.
It seems your reason for not investing in UAN is you think there are meaningful US movements to 1- ban fertilizers, and 2- ban natural gas? That's a good reason not to invest in UAN, but it's probably wrong.
Interesting theory, though. |
