Jim, your concerns are the same as mine. This quarter more than any in the past we are going to get very strange estimates from the thread. Because of the new accounting rules which most aren't aware of it will be almost impossible to pin down the number of shares used in the calculation as most aren't doing a calculation. I suspect most are picking a number out of the blue based on a feeling or because the like the number they are picking. I expect to have Dell report both a non-diluted and a diluted earnings figure. I'll compile the data but due to the complications this quarter I don't know how clear it will be. It is a fun exercise, anyway Michael's number is the only one that counts! Pat
