Perfectly rational, good reasoning. Thanks for sharing, as they say nowadays. It was a mention in IBD that sent the stock soaring last fall, but then it fell back. Something is definitely going on now, it would seem, because the vol has been steadily low, low, low for weeks, almost months it seems. Earnings release barely budged things. Big change yesterday and today, but no news.
I like the fact that at least 10% of their business is for Gateway and Gateway is doing fine. Also, they are one of a limited number of companies that are Authorized Replicators for Microsoft. MS doesn't hand AR status out like they do Internet Explorer. Also, ability to master and re-produce DVD should be important a little ways down the line.
More people should do serious due dilly as you do.
How long or for what price are you planning to hold on, or have you already taken your quick gains? I have to admit that 10% plus in one day would tempt me. If the overall market continues to look good, and doesn't bomb when the bombs fall, I think we will soon test the 52 week high.
