Mama looks pregnant, baby probably towards end of May. Been an average winter, both look in good shape. Living off of small twigs with buds on them, now. Another 6 weeks birch and other buds will start to swell.

I have watched them quite a bit in the winter. They don't seem to lay down that much, or for all that long. Mostly moving slowly all the time, nibbling on twigs. These two took a break, laid down for an hour or so, chewed their cuds.

We have had some good auroras this year, still trying to figure out how to get good aurora pictures. Have limited desire to stand out in 20 below, for more than a few minutes. Tweets
