Hi Bob ....

"I suspect a huge amount of that R&D is depreciation of all those leading edge equipment."

One has to wonder why INTC's accountants don't gather all their "Depreciation" numbers and place them where indicated on the INCOME STATEMENT .... seems to me it would provide a clearer picture as to what is actually going on ....

Either way, whatever is included in R&D, the fact of the matter is that it has drastically reduced the amount of Total Revenue reported reaching the Bottom Line.

There's no doubt that INTEL has been a well respected and valued company for well over a Decade with a 5 to 6 fold increase in its share price, and has also been a Regular Dividend payer.
I'm sure its current management will want to get the company back to its former "winning ways" .....

Good Luck with your "Dealings" with INTC !!
