Thanks for the site.

FWIW, I'm a net seller these days. My biggest position is in cash and in short term floating rates deposits/loans. I own them in an advantageous tax structure so the after-tax return is pretty interesting.

With the market up this much in January only, I don't see myself taking much risks trying to make more. 4¾ to 5% in interests is way more attractive from my point of view, for now. I'll probably switch to fixed rate if the spread close a bit more.

Besides, I feel like the speculative mindset is still pretty much present. The market seems to expect a beautiful scenario. "Don't fight the fed" is now "fight the fed" cause it's what justify, in part, the bull mindset. I still see/hear investors (even proclaimed value investors) value things using recent results and applying what I view as aggressive multiples. The growth expectation and qualitative intuition used as justification.

Well... maybe it's just me. It's hard to express what I feel on the subject but I have some kind of malaise with the market right now. When investors are not challenging prices enough, I feel the need to take a step aside, think, watch and be patient.

Good investing,
WIll
