Worswick, Ed Yardeni sure is one of the brighter minds on WS. I think he even has his own website, but I don't know the URL. A job for Mohan?

From my bank days I very well remember once we had an unperforming loan, you normally dragged it or its ghost with you for a long time, especially if it was a bigger one. We still had non-performing Cuban and North Korean loans. They're written off by now, but the original money (always millions) were gone nevertheless and these holes do not fill up over night.

From this experience I fully expect any bad debt situation be it in S. Korea or Japan to take generally longer than one expects. The stock markets may rise in SEA again, but the debt problems are not over yet, no way.
