More & more of us have been doing that, over the years, AWA significantly increasing self sufficiency in other parts of our lives. Bot this deep rural home & acreage in late 2008. Of course, there's learning curve to working with the land. Took a few years to understand local soil & build it to improve fertility but not fight with it by planting things it doesn't like. Nor is that necessary. Nice variety good yielding garden vegetables & fruit. Fresh in season. Frozen, or stored in root cellar, to last til next growing season. In addition to the better nutrition, moderate outdoor exercise in clean rural fresh air & sunlight will improve your health & add years to your life. Picked & ate fresh Arugula from the cold frame this afternoon. First year we've had fresh salad greens thru the entire winter. Incredibly robust plant! Logging back off. Cya. Iso
