Hi Guys,
At the risk of giving away my age, I was involved with the shaft sinking and ultimate production of the first Potash Mine in Saskatchewan. That goes back to 1958, I left Potash (and Saskatchewan) in 1988, a period of 30 years.
I don't really care about todays share value of POT, I know their future potential, they have built an array of assets (and I know the past history, good and bad) and they may have current debt but their future is dominant in fertilizers.
To say they are not interested in Asian assets, is to suggest they are unaware of future growth markets and their place in those markets, as I have indicated previously, shipping costs are a major cost component, Asia is a big part of that future. It may not be this particular property but believe me Asia is in their crystal ball.
regards,
Terence Mitchell
PS: I don't know why they call IBM "Big Blue", I can guess, however if you do a flame photometer test on Potassium you get this beautiful violet purple color. For this reason I suggest we should call POT "Big Violet" |
