Alibaba testing out AI tool similar to ChatGPT- reports ET Alibaba Group Holding Limited (BABA) By: Preeti Singh, SA News Editor 2 Comments maybefalse/iStock Unreleased via Getty Images Alibaba (NYSE: BABA) is reportedly testing out an artificial intelligence dialogue tool similar to ChatGPT, with the tool currently being tested by employees. The Chinese ecommerce company may also be combining the new technology with its DingTalk workplace communication app. DingTalk had an active user base of more than 500 million as of August 2022.Microsoft-backed ChatGPT is said to be the fastest-growing consumer app in history. The technology can generate essays, articles and poetry on user prompts. Alibaba's development of the ChatGPT-alike tool was reported by Reuters - citing a company statement - and the 21st Century Business Herald newspaper. The company declined to comment on the integration of the tool with DingTalk. Shares of Alibaba ( BABA) were up 2% in Wednesday's premarket session
