That would be interesting if true but usually the roles are reversed. Normally it's the short seller shaking down the company for a low-priced bought in deal, etc. Fascinating if Adani is using its petty cash to try and pay off Hindenburg and would forever compromise the latter. You are speculating of course.

Never read any of professor's Aswath's books but also have never been terribly impressed by what I've heard of him in TV interviews on biz channels. He sort of reminds me of Obama, he talks much and says little while trying to sound smart. Perhaps I'm misreading him? The other side of your coin is Adani reached out to professor Aswath for support to the tribe (no clue if Aswath's familial home overlaps with Adani and Modi). A guy like Adani should have many coins and many sides.

If the good professor is saying that Indian financing is somewhat backwards and caste based then I'd have to agree.
