100 MHz Intel BX chipset review on Tom's site...LINK
tomshardware.com

The BX chipset and the PII 350/100MHz and PII 400/100MHz are slated for release 15Apr98 according to Tom. The increase in performance doesn't justify the high cost of these CPU's/chipsets at this time IMO. The boards will also need specialized SDRAM that is also not yet available. It looks like there are compatibility issues between the motherboards and the SDRAM which will take awhile to iron out. I believe these are next years toys.

Hopefully the release will drop the price of the PII 333

PS

Dirk, great synopsis of the multiple monitor cards.

I downloaded Wingate and am trying to muster the guts to install it. The instructions indicate that it runs in the background upon start-up. Will I be able to disable it if I choose to use my existing method of connecting to the Internet while I struggle with the configuration of Wingate?
