Not at all, Slim has a good voice and I caught the 'opera' in it. I can see where his music is the rough and tumble version, street opera. And why not, opera lyrics are amazingly ridiculous for the most part. It's all good. Janet's a fan of this guy, it's hard to find good recordings from then. youtube.com Now I have to go back and listen to the last great cowboy yodeler. Brings back my childhood, songs about tumbleweeds, polkas, my fair lady, Beethoven.
