It's not PC to discuss it...

But, basically, since 1913... the only real issue in all of western and most of global politics, the only issue that our wars have been fought over... is "which brand of socialism will we have" and "how much of it"... (and, as always, who will be in control of it).

Reagan to Bush I and "the USSR's surrender" in the war in Iraq... did define the end of the Cold War... a war waged between "capitalism" (but, not really that) and "communism"... as the German surrender in WW II defined an end to the conflict waged between German National Socialism and Soviet Communism... but, only after their prior attempts at cooperation had failed and collapsed into acrimony...

You might have heard me mention, a time or two... that the Soviet's failure was the death of communism... but, what that means... is that what we're left with today... given the Chinese, in the wake of the end of the Cold War... having deliberately changed brands from communist to national socialist in every element other than the name of the party...

Less remarked is that at the same time... the American shift was one from accommodation between the two brands under the dissimulation of each being competing brands of "capitalism" in our system...

The socialist left surrendered... agreed to kill the unions and shift jobs to offshore for the cheap labor in China... still a win "politically" as that supported socialism growing in power offshore... although not understanding the shift in branding occurring there... ?

Some few (in the Republican controlled opposition) still pay occasional lip service to "free markets" along with "liberty" etc., but, its increasing become a more and more thinly veiled ruse...

In result, today, the world is populated with cadres of competing national socialist countries, and various national socialist economic "teams"... the lines between which are not always as clear as it may seem...

While the WEF et al "informally" oversee the whole thing with a design to play one off against another in a correograhped bit of theater... pitting one against another as is useful to them... picking winners and losers as the mood, whim, and the events dictate... to best benefit and insulate themselves...

It's a world full of teams of NAZI's... Putin is just another one of them... Biden... Xi... and is is any wonder you see morons posing as "Master's of the Universe" doing the things they are in the way they are... as Covid/Vaccines (with zero liability) for fun, profit and population control... rant continues... etc.

But, its not an incorrect view... awareness of which might best held condition some sets of expectation in relation to probable failure modes...

The competing brands of socialism have different weaknesses... but, they also have shared flaws tied to the fundamental errors inherent in the "concept" of socialism... either brand still fully susceptible to the problem that it "works" only as long as you don't run out of other people's money to spend.

HOW they "run out of other people's money"... might not occur in precisely the same way... ?
