ConSyGen Inc. Is Awarded Year 2000 Contract For Client of Chase
Software Norway AS

Wednesday January 21, 10:17 am Eastern Time

PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 20, 1998--ConSyGen Inc. (OTC BB:CSGI - news) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by Chase Software Norway AS, Stavanger, Norway, to make a critical software application Year 2000 compliant for a Chase client. The project, which is the first to be conducted by ConSyGen for a European client, is for approximately 500,000 lines of code. The client is the Norwegian telecommunications organization, Telenor; details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Chase Software Norway AS is a related company of Chase Technology plc, London, with which ConSyGen recently announced a Teaming Partnership. ConSyGen will use its fully-automated ConSyGen 2000(SM) toolset to make the application Year 2000 compliant.

Mr. Arthur Wilhelmsen, managing director of Chase Software Norway, stated: ''We are pleased to bring this project to ConSyGen so early in our new relationship. It indicates the serious interest in this area in resolving Year 2000 problems quickly and effectively in the time remaining before 2000, and we believe that ConSyGen 2000's ability to address and to modify the Amdahl MVS/COBOL environment automatically will ensure a successful conversion project, which should create additional business opportunities for both ConSyGen and Chase Norway.''

Mr. Ron Bishop, president and CEO of ConSyGen, stated: ''Just last week, ConSyGen signed a Teaming Agreement with Chase, and now we are already starting to receive contracts. We are excited about Chase's enthusiasm for ConSyGen 2000, and see this initial project as an ideal opportunity to demonstrate the effectiveness of our automated conversion technology. Chase Norway will provide the necessary project planning and management, and we look forward to working with them and the client in doing this automated conversion, particularly as there is a very demanding time schedule to the delivery of the converted code.''

ConSyGen Inc. is a Phoenix-based software company that provides conversion/correction services with its proprietary technologies. The company's ConSyGen 2000 software is a fully-automated toolset that automatically corrects dates in both source code and data to be compliant for the Year 2000 and beyond. The company's ConSyGen Conversion toolset automatically converts software to run on a different hardware platform. For example, software running on older BULL, IBM, Unisys, etc. mainframes can automatically be converted to run on new open or client-server platforms (often called downsizing).
