I heard people on social media talk about it, but never saw any studies showing that masks “cause” a viral disease to develop into a bacterial pneumonia. Would like to see it. I mean, not posts or tweets, but actual studies. Sitting with an open mind here, but - I need evidence.

With health, “anything” is possible. But the question is, how probable is it. I remember seeing photos of large hospital wards circa 1918, with many patients sick with flu - with no masks. I’ve seen cases when a viral syndrome becomes complicated by a bacterial pneumonia - not uncommon at all - without masks.
