50 years ago I had a burst appendix. Pain in my lower right abdomen and I was jaundiced.

Drove myself to the ER. Doc looked at me proclaimed it not a big deal but we'll take an XRAY just in case.

Got the XRAY went back to the doc and he said I should go home. I was out in the parking lot when doc came running out and had me come back. It IS a big deal.

I was on the operating table within the hour. They told me later that it had burst but my body formed a cyst around it.
