Arnie: Did you use your TA on RII, I used mine and sold!
Lets argue, that way we can vent.
Perhaps for conversation purposes we should define TA. Useing TA, the accountants way, Nextel doesn't look good. So what does TA tell you? Let me guess, TA tells you that Nextel is an exciting concept, so why not invest, especially when McCaw has a similar success under his belt, and he doesn't impress you as being a looser.
Oh, I remember, TA might means user subscription ratios, projections, potential. This is all subjective, TA (technical analysis) is more like fundamental examination of the financials, heck, restate them at fair value (has to be conservative) and you will see that the company does not look good on paper. Thus, when TA is mentioned in the same vain as Nextel, all the investment books don't really matter.
So here's whats going to happen with this discussion. Nextel goes up and you say, see Al, my TA is best, I know what I am doing. Al says, good Arnie, I'm happy for you, guess I missed part of the boat. Why part, because my TA told me to invest heavy at the low and try to sell when the tide turned. I pulled my profit out now, maybe too soon, but it's in the bank. You win in the long run, maybe, I won in the short run for sure........Just another opinion for the fans to look at.
again Al, just being my shy and calm self. |
